A wonderful opportunity to treat yourself to another uplifting BBFF workshop this upcoming Easter Saturday – to keep you on track and continue progressing the balance and inverted elements of your yoga practice.

We will use breathing, gravity, props and the wall to assist with longer holds whilst balancing upside down, developing your backbend, and rising above what gets you down when you float/ fly in your yoga practice. Expect to have a lot of fun working hard with Marcia on this BBFF inversions journey!

Workshop Contents

1. A warm up before each section: the back, shoulders, hips; lengthening and stretching the important muscles

2. Four sections:

  • Balance – Option 1: Ganda Bherundasana, Chinstand (from Eka Pada Koundinyasana, Flying Splits)
  • Balance – Option 2: Pincha Mayurasana, Forearm Balance (to Vrischikasana, Scorpion, from Sirsasana, Headstand)
  • Bend – Urdhva Dhanurasana, Wheel pose (From Ustrasana, Camel Pose/ Wild Thing, work on dropping back/standing up)
  • Float – Adho Mukha Vrksasana, Handstand (walkover and other exit strategies)
  • Fly – Ardha Yoga Nidrasana, Half Yogic Sleep Pose to Eka Pada Galavasana, Funky Flying Pigeon (one elbow to floor)

3. A guided Savasana (Relaxation) to rejuvenate the body and mind.

This workshop is open to intermediate practitioners and curious seasoned beginners. Modifications can be given to make this session fully enjoyable, enabling everyone to be creative, playful and joyful together.
